Managing Director / Occupational Health Nurse Specialist Clare McArdell.
I am a Registered General Nurse (RGN BMed Sci Dip N RSP -OH), with a Diploma in Critical Care Nursing and a Community Nursing Degree in Occupational Health through Sheffield University. I also possess an Advanced DSE Assessor Certificate and FOM Certificate in Hand Arm Vibration Assessment.
I have gained experience in Occupational Health in Industry, Aviation, Public and Private Sectors and Healthcare in the UK and Guernsey since 1997. I am Guernsey born and initially moved away in 1984 from the Island to pursue my nursing career, returning in 2001 to take up the post as Occupational Health Advisor for the Health & Social Service Department, I then moved on to work within one of the GP Practices within the Island who were in partnership with a UK provider working as their Occupational Health Nurse Specialist.
I set up OHCI Limited, A Nurse led Service, in early 2007 to cover the short fall in locally provided Occupational Health services to all businesses in the Channel Islands, whatever the numbers of staff they have. With the understanding of the local workforce diversities and Health and Safety legislation. I also quite happily undertake work on behalf of other OH Providers when requested.
I hope as this service grows to be able move into suitable alternative office premises and to enlarge my team, by recruiting and training local staff, who have the vision and enthusiasm to help the service grow.
Director / IT Manager - Chris McArdell
